Just a little decorating

 

I have been adding little Valentines Day decorations here and there around the house. My daughter tells me "you can't decorate just a little bit mom". Well she's right, I love to use all my pretties.

 

 

This is a little side table in my dining room, I am always changing it around.

 

 

Tucked some cute little red candles among my vintage cookie cutters in a milk glass bowl I found at the thrift store.

Saw this little wooden box of heart cookie cutters at the Salvation Army.....so cute!

 

This adorable sweethearts vase is more on the orange side rather than red but they look so in love for Valentine's Day.

 

 

Just set a little vintage hankie here.

Thrift Shopping Treasures

 

 

Happy New Year......I have been making my rounds to my favorite little Thrift shops and ohhhhh it has been a good start to the New Year.

 

 This sweet little red cup and saucer (still in the box) made me squeal with excitement.....

 There is really no blue in my kitchen  but how could I pass this adorable embroidered pot holder holder??

 This is a vintage Avon serving piece. It commemorates the 90th anniversary of Avon. I used to sell Avon back in the day so I was kinda excited to find this little gem. I need to clean it up a little with some silver polish.

 Found a couple of "shakers". I adore the little jar with the red top.....don't have a clue what I am gonna put in it but I couldn't pass it up.

 When I saw this blue vase I immediately thought "4th of July décor". I can use this in one of my vignettes for Independence Day.

 

 This book was one of my favorite finds.......

 That's so "me" sitting in my dads lap, giving him all my Valentine love.

 

 

 Adorable red topped salt & pepper shakers

 

 And this vitamin jar was so unique....I filled it with Vitamin C, it sits out on my counter and just looks too cute.

Shelf Life

I LOVE shelves. I hang a shelf on any wall that will hold it......

 

 

 This is a shelf in my dining room......filled with things that make me smile

 I love teacups and saucers, my mom has passed several of these down to me.....I cherish them

 This is in my dining room too. I started collecting these vintage birthday angels and they fit perfectly on this sweet shelf.

 January angel is front & center for the month

 I just love filling every spot on the shelf with something...

 I found this vase at an antique shop. I think she is so pretty!

 A shelf in my guest bathroom

 This large shelf hangs in my princess room. Its actually the room where I get dressed in the morning and do my makeup but my husband refers to it as my "princess room". I will share pics of it in a future post.

 The white lantern was from our wedding. We had one on each table. The lanterns were silver and I sprayed them white, put flowers and a candle inside.....so shabby chic.

 This little shelf is next to my vanity.

 I enjoy this little Christmas tree all year.

 My husband built this shelf above our bedroom doors.

 This shelf is on the wall next to the sink in my bathroom.....and that ends my tour of all the shelves in my home.
