I am still around

I have been out of blogging & posting & sharing with all of my friends, but I just wanted to say hello and let you know I am very well, very happy, very loved and VERY BLESSED. My Project Partner

Not only is he handsome, smart, sweet, kind and loving, he loves to tackle a project. This modified sewing machine cabinet was a cast-off from my sweethearts mom & he asked me if I liked it. It was nice in its present condition but we both knew it needed something more.

One trip to Lowes & in less than an hour, this is what he transformed it into.

Antique White paint, a little dijon color to make a statement, some new knobs & that piece is "all ours".

I think I might keep him!

Happy Spring

Love this beautiful Southern California weather. Highs in the low 80's today and a gentle breeze. I am so thankful for the sunshine. Found this sweet little wooden sign at Kohl's (clearance) for $2.99 and couldn't resist. I dont really care too much for Kohl's but a friend of mine needed to exhange a few items and I figured I would tag along.

Found this sweet little rose print for $3.99 on clearance. I probably wouldnt go out of my way to go back to Kohl's but I am sure glad I scored these sweet little treasures. I'm heading out to check on my roses.

I hope Spring is in full bloom wherever you call home.

Some Sweet Treasures

My sweetheart & I drove to Temecula on Friday to visit the girls at La Maison Rustique and although I didn't return home with a large haul, it was a beautiful day and I got to see some girlfriends whom I have not seen for quite some time.

We enjoyed the day together and strolled through Old Town Temecula. So many shops and interesting places to just roam in and out of. I picked up these cute little silver butter knives...............

He asked "what are you going to do with 3 butter knives?" and I replied, "my treasures don't serve a practical purpose, they serve "my purpose". I guess he will have to make a few trips to the barn with me before he fully understands my flea market mentality huh?

(Come on girls, I know I am not alone on this one).

Found this beautiful covered dish at Serendipity in Old Town Temecula. The lady said it was a "tea caddy" and the cost was $12.00. I think it was worth it.

Now the conversation piece of our day was this silver bon bon spoon. I saw it, I wanted it and at the cost of $4.00 I felt that even if I never serve bon bons from it, I must have it to display with my other silver pieces.

My sweetheart was baffled by the very idea of being served bon bons one at a time from a spoon with slots in it, I explained to him that proper etiquette requires one to enjoy a small taste of a fine confection rather than over-indulge in a box of See's Candy. Nice to be back to blogging. Thank you for your comments.

Dumpster Diving

Ok I have been MIA on my blog for some time now and I want to thank all of my friends who have checked in on me. I am doing very well and wanted to share a recent find......IN THE TRASH!!! Yep thats right, I took the trash out the other day and on the very top of the pile was a box with this pretty soup tureen and a cookbook by Paula Deen's sons.

Both of the items were in perfect condition and I am not too proud to pick them out of the dumpster.

One mans trash is definitely my treasure!

Time To Share

Ok I am ready to let you in on one of the very big reasons I have been out of touch with my blog and perhaps after I share this with you, I can get more focused on sharing many projects I have been working on.

I have fallen in love with the most wonderful & adoring man in the world and from where things sit right this minute, I am sure "He's the One" for me. It's a long story, filled with so many very precious details but suffice to say, he has been a friend in my life for many years and I couldn't be happier that I have the pleasure of sharing his world with him.

Okay, my blog is not about romance, it's really just about me and what I enjoy sharing with my readers but I couldn't resist sharing about this man who has turned my world upside down, loves me beyond measure and treats me in an indescribable fashion as no other man has.

Beautiful Thoughts

With the promise of temperatures in the mid to upper 70's this weekend, I decided to set out this lovely spring arrangement to help things along. I rearranged my little living room and found a nice spot for this little white table. It was on clearance at T.J. Maxx.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with it either.

I wanted to share some very lovely roses that my very special man brought me last night. It's so nice to get flowers "just because".

So Ready For Spring

I live in Southern California and the weather has to be the very best part of California living. As March gets closer, I look forward to peeling back the layers, opening the windows, spring cleaning and enjoying some fresh air. I had very excitedly planned to visit La Maison Rustique this weekend but came down with a little touch of the flu and had to stay home. If you are ever in wine country Temecula, stop by and visit Linda, Joy, Sherry & all the beautiful ladies at "the barn". You will most certainly leave with a treasure for your home.

I completed some projects that I had planned to share until my camera stopped working. I will have it repaired this week so please check back with me. Thank you for visiting & have a lovely week.

Neglectful & Sorry

I am sorry I have not posted in over a month and I appreciate all the kind words of conern for me, I am doing fine, just had so many new things happening in my life and I will gladly share when the time is right.

Decorations Down

Well the Christmas decorations are put away and I am looking forward to a new year filled with good things and new beginnings for me. I have added to my wall of mirrors and changed things around a little.........

I had them scattered throughout my house before the divorce and I find that they look so much more pleasing on the 1 little wall in my apartment.

I am already feeling that "Spring Clean" feeling in the air as I rearrange things

2009 is going to be a great year, I can just feel it!
