This morning at 9:37 my hero went to heaven. It was peaceful and calm and he was set free from the pain that this world put his old body through and now he is with Jesus and his family that went before him. I am mostly numb in my soul right now and I have cried more tears than my eyes can afford but I am comforted by the knowledge that my dad lives forever with Jesus and is in pain no more. Thank you for all of the prayers and support that my blog family sent out for me, I felt them all and was comforted by your love. Death is as much a part of life as living but it sure doesn't come easy for those who are left behind. Rest in the arms of Jesus daddy.....now you are home at last......

Debbie, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. I know it's been a very difficult time with two deaths in such a short time.

There is now one more angel in Heaven to watch over you.
You were truely blessed to have a wonderful father. Now Heaven is blessed to have him home.
When I have death of a loved one that tears me apart I like to think of them on a wonderful vacation having the time of their life. For what better place is there then being with Jesus?
I know I will one day join them just as one day you will too will be with your loved ones.
The love and memories never die.

What a lovely picture of your parents.
What I try to remember is the same thing you said about your father, that he is not in pain any longer and is at peace. My Dad's been gone many years now and I still have hard days with missing him. I've passed this on to everyone that's gone through the same, it has helped me so much: Wherever you go, God is already there. It's from my Inspiration from Touched By An Angel book and I've gone back to it time and time again.
