Well, I finally picked up my new (old) mantle and my husband lovingly hung it for me Friday night. I was up late arranging and re-arranging and playing with different vignettes. I am so happy with the way it turned out. My husband was not quite sure if he liked the color but I think the green really makes it pop. See if you agree.....
The lady at the antique store said "there must have been 50 patrons who were interested in purchasing that mantle". I sure am glad I found it first.....

Debbie I like the green. It does give it a look at me aren't I pretty look.
Also, I was at the Petaluma, CA antique faire, and I could have sworn I saw you there in a restaurant. Or was it a twin.

Debbie Kay, that is a lovely mantle! The green looks so wonderful with the pink on the walls, I am so jealous of the wall color...I may have to go paint the parlor for the third time in two years after seeing your room! You did a great job on the staging, I love to go all the way to the top of the walls with things...the clock looks great! A+++
